Install the plugin
Search “REAIGENT7 Chat” in Plugins → Add New, or download it from WordPress.org. Activate it.

Paste your API key
Grab the key from your REAIGENT7 dashboard (Add chat to your website → Install keys), paste it under Settings → REAIGENT7, and click Save & Connect. A built-in connection tester tells you immediately that it worked.

The chat finds your listings
Visit a listing page on your site — the chat bubble is there, matched to that property, or offering a “which home?” picker on the rare page it can't identify. New listings you publish in REAIGENT7 appear automatically. No per-page setup.
Detection that doesn’t give up
The hard part of putting listing chat on a real website is knowing which listing the buyer is looking at. The plugin matches your REAIGENT7 listings against each page three ways:
- MLS number — found in the page URL or in your IDX plugin’s data (IDX Broker, ShowcaseIDX, ihomefinder, AgentPress, and others), matched regardless of casing or punctuation.
- Link name — a listing’s REAIGENT7 link name appearing in the page URL.
- Street address — recognized in the URL or the page title.
And when a listing-like page still can’t be matched, the chat appears anyway with a "which home?" picker — buyers choose the property and start chatting. Prefer manual control? Pin any listing to any page with the [reaigent7_chat listing="..."] shortcode or the REAIGENT7 Chat box in the page editor sidebar. An install never looks broken.

Does it work with my IDX plugin?
The plugin auto-detects listing pages from IDX Broker, ShowcaseIDX, ihomefinder, AgentPress, and other common IDX setups. It matches listings three ways: by MLS number (in the page URL or your IDX plugin's data), by matching link names, and by street address in the URL or page title. If a page still can't be matched automatically, pin the exact listing right from the page editor — pick it from a dropdown and update.
What happens if it can't tell which listing a page is showing?
On pages that look like listing pages — they match your listing-page URL patterns, set in your dashboard — the chat still appears: buyers get a “which home?” picker listing your properties, tap one, and chat about it. You can also pin a listing to any page permanently with the [reaigent7_chat] shortcode or the REAIGENT7 Chat box in the page editor. A failed detection never means a broken-looking install.
Will it slow my website down?
No. Your settings are cached for five minutes, refreshes are capped at a strict three seconds with a failure cooldown, and the last good settings are kept during brief connectivity hiccups so the chat stays up. The chat widget itself loads after your page content, and buyer conversations run on REAIGENT7's servers, not your hosting.
